FetcherPay collects information you provide directly to us when you create an account, integrate our payment APIs, or contact us for support. This includes:
- Business name, contact name, email address, and phone number
- Payment processing data (transaction amounts, timestamps, merchant IDs)
- Technical integration data (API keys, webhook endpoints, IP addresses)
- Communications you send us (support tickets, emails)
We do not store raw card numbers or sensitive cardholder data. All card data is tokenized by our PCI Level 1 certified processors before reaching our systems.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process payments and provide our payment infrastructure services
- Detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and other illegal activities
- Comply with legal obligations including KYC/AML requirements
- Send transaction confirmations, receipts, and service notifications
- Improve our platform, APIs, and routing algorithms
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
3. Sharing of Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Payment processors and banking partners: Stripe, Column Bank, and other rails partners to execute transactions
- Compliance and identity verification: KYC/AML service providers as required by law
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain transaction records and associated data for 7 years as required by financial regulations. Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 3 years after closure. You may request deletion of non-regulated data by contacting us.
